Definitions of Alkaline/ Acidic and how Salinity differs from Akaline
Acid/Alkaline SoilRefers to the chemical makeup of a particular soil and is measured in terms of pH. A pH of 7 means the soil is neutral. A pH below 7 indicates acidity and a pH above 7 indicates alkalinity. Regions with light rainfall tend to have alkaline soils. Some plant species prefer a specific pH.
